Case Build
Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”This chapter prepares the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini V2 Flow for motherboard, PSU, radiator, and graphics card installation.
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Convert the case from shipping condition into a build-ready chassis with panels removed, standoffs checked, airflow confirmed, and cable paths opened.
Estimated Time
Section titled “Estimated Time”25-40 minutes.
Difficulty
Section titled “Difficulty”Beginner.
Required Tools
Section titled “Required Tools”- Phillips #2 screwdriver.
- Screw tray.
- Flashlight.
- Case manual.
Warnings
Section titled “Warnings”- Do not place glass panels on tile, stone, concrete, or table edges.
- Do not assume every pre-installed standoff is correct.
- Do not install the top radiator before routing CPU EPS power cables.
- Do not remove factory fans unless the airflow plan requires it.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Section titled “Step-by-Step Instructions”- Place the case on the work surface with room on both sides.
- Remove the tempered-glass side panel and store it flat on a soft surface.
- Remove the steel side panel and top access panel.
- Remove any internal packaging or accessory boxes.
- Confirm the case variant is the O11 Dynamic Mini V2 Flow.
- Confirm the pre-installed Flow fans are present.
- Check the ATX standoff pattern against the motherboard.
- Add, move, or remove standoffs only where the ATX board requires them.
- Confirm there is no loose standoff in an unused position under the motherboard area.
- Identify the PSU chamber and modular cable exit paths.
- Identify the top radiator mounting area.
- Identify the front-panel cable bundle: power switch, USB-A, USB-C, and HD audio.
- Pull front-panel cables gently into the motherboard side so they are ready for later connection.
- Leave the side and bottom fans installed as intake fans unless a later airflow revision changes the plan.
Verification Checklist
Section titled “Verification Checklist”- Both side panels are removed and stored safely.
- Accessory box contents are accounted for.
- ATX standoffs match the motherboard.
- No extra standoff is under the motherboard area.
- Top radiator area is accessible.
- PSU chamber is accessible.
- Front-panel cables are visible and undamaged.
- Factory intake fans remain connected or ready to connect.
Common Mistakes
Section titled “Common Mistakes”- Leaving a spare standoff under the board.
- Scratching glass panels by leaning them against hard surfaces.
- Installing parts before removing internal packaging.
- Routing front-panel cables behind the wrong side of the case frame.
- Blocking the top radiator path with late cable routing.
Expected Result
Section titled “Expected Result”The case is open, checked, and ready for PSU, motherboard, cooler, GPU, and cable installation.
